-

stasis-labsStasis Labs, a Los Angeles, CA-based health monitoring startup, raised $5m in seed funding.

The round was led by RTP-HC, the healthcare-focused investment arm of RTP Ventures, with participation from Wonder Ventures, Techstars Ventures, and others. In conjunction with the funding, Milena Adamian, MD, of RTP-HC, will be joining the company’s Board of Directors.

The company intends to use the funds to continue expanding throughout Indian hospitals and prepare to enter the US and other markets worldwide.

Led by CEO Dinesh Seemakurty and COO Michael Maylahn, Stasis Labs provides a cloud-powered platform that continuously monitors vitals in hospitals without burdening human resources and increasing efficiency. The company’s system is currently live in multiple hospitals in Bangalore, India.

In June, Stasis graduated from the Techstars Healthcare Accelerator, in Partnership with Cedars-Sinai. The company was recently endorsed by the International Finance Corporation, part of the World Bank Group, to improve and expand the reach of medical technology worldwide.
