materialimpactMaterial Impact, a Waltham, MA-based venture capital firm dedicated to investing in companies providing high-value products enabled by material innovation, launched its debut fund.

According to a regulatory form filed with the SEC, Material Impact Fund I, L.P. aims to rasie $100m.

Dr. Carmichael Roberts, Founding Partner, Dr. Mark Little, Venture Partner, Dr. Adam Sharkawy, General Partner, and Dr. Dan Harburg, Entrepreneur Partner, the firm invests in early stage companies advancing new products using chemistry, materials science and/or materials engineering.

Material Impact’s portfolio includes Soft Robotics, an early-stage startup focused on robotic manipulation and material handling.
