Mobalytics, a Santa Monica, CA-based eSports company, raised $2.6m in seed funding.
Backers included Almaz Capital, Founders Fund, General Catalyst, GGV Capital and a group of angel investors.
The company intends to use the funds to grow operations and launch the first version of its platform in a private beta (granting access to the first 10,000 users from the waiting list in November).
Co-founded by Bogdan Suchyk, CEO, Mykola Lobanov, CTO, Amine Issa, Ph.D., CSO, Mobalytics is an eSports company providing competitive gamers with tools to analyze and improve performance. The company is developing a Gamer Performance Index (GPI) that leverages in-game data available from game APIs and ingests it through machine learning algorithms to analyze and improve performance across several areas.
The initial version is focused specifically on League of Legends to expand then to all competitive games.
