Particle, a San Francisco, CA-based Internet of Things (IoT) development platform, secured $10.4m in funding.
The round was led by Root Ventures, O’Reilly Alpha Tech Ventures (OATV), and Rincon Venture Partners.
The company, which has raised $14.6m in funding to date, intends to use the funds to continue investing in its sales and support teams, and to guide its community toward high value IoT initiatives and connected products.
Led by Zach Supalla, co-founder and CEO, Particle provides an enterprise platform for companies to build and deliver build, ship and scale enterprise-class IoT products. The company’s tools are now used by 70,000 engineers in more than 170 countries and are being used by many Fortune 500 companies to develop and manage fleets of new IoT products.
Its community has more than 90,000 developers solutions.
