Postman, a Bangalore, India-based provider of an API toolchain for developers, recently undisclosed a $7m Series A funding round.
Nexus Venture Partners, a firm that specializes in backing entrepreneurs in the U.S. and India, made the investment. Jishnu Bhattacharjee, Managing Director of Nexus Venture Partners, is a Postman board member.
Led by Abhinav Asthana, CEO and co-founder, Postman is a toolchain for API developers to share, test, document and monitor APIs providing free apps for Chrome, Mac and Windows, available for download on the Postman website.
Its paid product, Postman Cloud, is a subscription service that provides additional collaboration, testing and documentation tools for both small and large development teams.
The company, which also has offices in San Francisco and Austin, has more than three million active installations and a customer base that includes more than 1.5 million active monthly users at 30,000 companies. It counts Box, Walgreens, Intuit, IBM, VMware and Apigee among its users.
