SendGrid, a Denver, CO-based delivery platform for customer communication, raised $33M in Series D funding.
The round was led by Bain Capital Ventures with participation from Foundry Group, Bessemer Venture Partners and SofTech VC.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate the product roadmap, including the Marketing Campaigns email marketing product and its Expert Services offerings as well as its global expansion plans.
Led by Sameer Dholakia, CEO, SendGrid provides a cloud-based customer communication platform for engagement and business growth. It currently delivers over 30 billion emails each month for over 120,000 active customers (42,000 paying customers) from over 100 countries around the world including Internet and mobile-based customers Airbnb, Pandora, HubSpot, Spotify, Uber and FourSquare as well as traditional enterprises like Intuit and Costco.
