Thycotic Acquires Network Security Analytics Company Cyber Algorithms

Thycotic, a Washington, D.C.-based provider of privileged account management (PAM) solutions for more than 7,500 organizations worldwide, completed the acquisition of Cyber Algorithms, a Virginia-based provider of a network security analytics platform.

The terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

A graduate of the Mach37 Cybersecurity Accelerator, a startup accelerator focused on launching early-stage startups in the cybersecurity industry, Cyber Algorithms brings to Thycotic a cybersecurity analytics platform that allows customers to detect and thwart intrusions increasing the productivity and effectiveness of security operations teams by enabling them to focus immediately on high-risk user profiles and behaviors.

Launched in 2013 by the Center for Innovative Technology, Mach37 is a Herndon, Virginia-based accelerator for information security entrepreneurs and startups that provides mentorship and support from an extensive network of successful entrepreneurs in security.
