GoAhead Ventures, a Menlo Park, CA-based early stage venture capital firm, closed its first fund out of Stanford, at $55m.
Limited Partners in the fund include Japanese institutions/corporations, high-net worth individuals, as well as U.S. high net worths and family offices.
Led by Managing Partners Phil Brady, TK (Takeshi) Mori and Clancey Stahr, GoAhead aims to invest in early stage companies in, but not limited to, the Silicon Valley area and Stanford, working alongside entrepreneurs to deliver tangible value.
Portfolio companies include Gameflip, OoLaLa Mobile, VideoAmp, iotera, GetScale, HackerRank, Oohlala, Manna and Simple Emotion.
