HealthifyMe Raises US$1M in Funding

healthifymeHealthifyMe, a Bengalaru, India-based provider of a mobile fitness app, raised US$1m in funding.

Neelesh Bhatnagar, Founder of NB Ventures, made the investment.

The company intends to use the funds to continue to develop the product and expand operations.

Co-founded in 2012 by Tushar Vashisht, Sachin Shenoy and Mathew Cherian, HealthifyMe is an app that allows users to achieve fitness and weight loss goals online and via their smartphones. As part of their paid plans, people can also connect with nutritionists and trainers who help them achieve their goals.
The Android and iOS app syncs with Fitbit, YuFit, MiBand and the company’s own band called RIST.

The company, which partners with several hospitals and corporate institutions in India such as Medanta, Manipal, Philips, Cognizant, etc., had raised US$6m earlier in 2016.
