Kendra Scott Design, Inc., an Austin, Texas-based fashion accessories brand, received a private equity investment from Berkshire Partners.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
The company intends to use the funds to grow the brand’s omni-channel presence.
Led by founder Kendra Scott, who will continue as majority shareholder and CEO, Kendra Scott is a fashion accessories brand inspired by the personal experiences, travel and sense of community of its CEO.
Kendra Scott is sold at premiere retailers including Nieman Marcus, Nordstrom, Bloomingdale’s, Von Maur and over 600 specialty boutiques worldwide, a web store and over 50 stand alone retail stores across the United States.
The brand is known for its suite of jewelry pieces as well as lifestyle categories such as beauty, home goods and fine jewelry. It also offers the Kendra Scott Color Bar™, a jewelry customization experience available in all Kendra Scott stores as well as www.KendraScott.com.
Following the deal, Norwest Venture Partners will continue as a minority investor.
