Menlo Micro, an Irvine, California-based provider of a digital-micro-switch platform, raised $18.7m in funding.
Backers included Microsemi Corporation (Nasdaq: MSCC), Corning, Paladin Capital Group, and GE Ventures.
Launched by GE Ventures as a new spinout from GE’s Global Research Center, Menlo Micro provides a digital-micro-switch platform for those who design electronic systems, serving multiple industries including next generation 5G mobile networks, industrial IoT markets, battery management, home-automation, electronic vehicles and medical instrumentation.
The company is led by Russ Garcia, CEO, Chris Keimel, CTO, Chris Giovanniello, senior vice president product development & marketing; and Jeff Baloun, senior vice president of manufacturing operations.
