Nectar Raises $4.55M in Seed Funding

Nectar, a Palo Alto, Calif.-based developer of an automated replenishment platform for the Consumer Packaged Goods and Alcohol Beverage markets, raised $4.55m in seed funding.

Backers included Joe Lonsdale, Lior Susan, Ari Ojalvo, Karim Masri, Samantha Holloway, Aneel Ranadive, Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, Ullas Naik, Dan Rosenweig, Darien Shirazi, Albert Azout.

Founded in 2014 by Aayush Phumbhra and Prabhanjan “PJ” Gurumohan, Nectar is building a connected device solution for the consumer packaged goods (CPG) and alcoholic beverage industries bringing critical real-time data on inventory and power auto-reordering to restaurants, brands, distributors and consumers.
The first product will launch for the hospitality industry in 2017.
