Entrypoint, a New York City-based self-service development platform for VR content creators, raised $2m in seed funding.
The round was led by Two Sigma Ventures with participation from Samsung NEXT, KBS Ventures, Virtual Reality Investment, Indicator Ventures, Female Founders Fund, Galvanize, Social Starts, Karen Karniol-Tambour and several other angels.
The company intends to use the funds to to bring their technology to the market.
Co-founded by Carissa Flocken and Ben Doyle, Entrypoint provides a development for VR creators to add custom, interactive experiences layered on top of their pre-recorded live-action footage, animations, and 360 livestreams, which enable imaginative storytelling, advertising, and e-commerce possibilities.
Once finished, the experience lives on an URL, enabling it to be viewed on smartphones and desktop and shareable through social networks.
