eSmart Systems, a Halden, Norway-based provider of a data software platform for the digital energy industry and smart cities, received a NOK100m investment from Kongsberg Digital.
With the investment, Kongsberg acquired a 34% stake in the company and entered into a partnership involving digital development and services for advanced analytics and machine learning to Norwegian and international customers in the power sector.
Led by Knut H. H. Johansen, founder and CEO, eSmart Systems is a provider of a Microsoft Azure based scalable software platform that can processes, analyzes and visualizes large amounts of data in real time to optimize operation and performance of applications in the digital energy industry and smart cities in Norway, Europe and the United States.
In 2015, the company had a turnover of NOK 40m.
