Pulpix, a Paris, France- and NYC-based AI powered platform for websites to provide personalized video recommendations and increase viewer engagement, raised $850k in pre-seed funding.
Backers included Studio VC, Ace Capital, Chon Tang, and other investors.
The company intends to use the funds to increase its product development and hiring efforts.
Co-founded by Sabry Otmani, CEO, and Denis Vilar, CTO, Pulpix provides publishers and broadcasters with a video personalization tool that generates more user engagement and revenue by sharing content with the right audience.
The company’s intelligent dashboard allows users to receive audience insights, manage video inventory customize the look, frequency and type of recommendations according to their needs, get access to stats in real-time and gain insight into video views, time spent, revenue, ad impressions, locations, devices and more.
In addition, through audio recognition and
meta-data analysis of each video, the platform can extract video topics at specific times during the video, and understand viewer behavior in real-time.
A Y Combinator startup, Pulpix currently works with 50 publishers including GQ France, L’Équipe, and Prisma Media.
