Spendesk, a Paris, France-based fintech startup, raised €2m in seed funding.
Backers included Kima Ventures (Xavier Niel’s fund), Funders Club, Edward Lando, Nicolas Steegmann (founder at Stupeflix), and Frédéric Montagnon (Secret Media, Teads, OverBlog), among other dozen entrepreneurs including the founders at Birchbox, AB Tasty, La Belle Assiette and Tinyclues.
The company intends to use the funds to continue to grow operations and expand its corporate payment offering.
Launched in June 2016 by Rodolphe Ardant at eFounders startup studio (which launched Mailjet, TextMaster, Mention, Front and Aircall), Spendesk provides a dedicated solution for corporate expenses and payments.
The combination of its payment cards and application enable employees to save time amd managers to monitor their teams’ expenses in real time, even when they’re traveling.
The company’s payment cards, officially launched today, have already been tested by more than 250 users throughout Europe including Deezer, Webedia, Hostmaker and Drivy.
