VisIC Technologies, a Nes Ziona, Israel-based developer of efficient power electronics based on Gallium Nitride (GaN) semiconductors, closed $11.6m Series C financing.
The round was led by new investor Birch Investment with participation from existing investors.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate commercialization of its devices.
Established in 2010 by Tamara Baksht, CEO, VisIC Technologies develop and sell advanced GaN-based power conversion products including high power GaN-based transistors and modules.
The company has been granted keystone patents for GaN technology and has additional patents pending.
