Disruptor Beam, a Framingham, MA-based company focused on turning entertainment brands into games for connected customers, raised $8.5m in Series B financing.
This round was led by GrandBanks Capital and Romulus Capital, with additional participation from other new and existing investors.
The company intends to use the new funds to accelerate growth and its games throughout 2017.
Founded by game industry veteran and entrepreneur Jon Radoff, Disruptor Beam connects fans around popular franchises including Game of Thrones, Star Trek and The Walking Dead through story-rich and socially-driven games, which can be played across a variety of mobile devices, as well as other platforms including Facebook.
The company released Game of Thrones Ascent in 2013, Star Trek Timelines in January 2016 and will launch The Walking Dead: March to War in 2017.
