Retriever Medical/Dental Payments Receives Private Equity Investment from TA Associates

Retriever Medical/Dental Payments, LLC, a Valhalla, NY-based provider of payment technology and merchant services to healthcare providers, received a minority investment from TA Associates.

The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Founded in 1993 by Frank Shiner and led by Dominick Colabella, President and CEO, Retriever is a large payments companies focused exclusively on the healthcare provider market, serving 15,000 physician practices, dental practices, veterinary clinics and hospitals throughout the U.S.
Through its proprietary software, Practice Management BRIDGE®, the company enables its clients to integrate payment processing workflow and data with the healthcare provider’s existing practice management or ERP system.
The company also provides tools to healthcare providers that accelerate cash flow and reduce uncollectible balances through the company’s credit, debit and ACH acceptance capabilities.

In conjunction with the funding, M. Roy Burns and Roger B. Kafker, Managing Directors at TA Associates, will join Retriever’s Board of Directors.
