Cnex Labs, Inc., a San Jose, CA-based semiconductor company developing solid-state storage controllers and software for cloud, hyperscale, and enterprise data centers, closed its Series C round of financing of undisclosed amount.
The round, which brought total funding to over $60m to date, was led by Microsoft Ventures with participation from existing investors.
The company will use the funding for mass production and system integration for lead customers of its SSD controller products.
Founded in 2013 by Alan Armstrong, CEO, Cnex delivers solid-state-drive (SSD) technology for data center servers and storage. The company partners with solid-state storage manufacturers and data center customers to develop PCIe SSD controller ASICs designed to meet the demanding requirements of the next generation of hyperscale computing.
The company also has offices in Copenhagen, Denmark, Shanghai, China, Hangzhou, China, and Tokyo, Japan.
