Ematic, a Singapore-based AI-powered email marketing platform, raised US$2.4m in seed funding.
The round was led by existing investor Wavemaker Partners with participation from MDI Ventures and Convergence Ventures as well new backer Walden International.
The company intends to use the funds to expand operations into Asian countries and go mobile.
Founded in 2012 and led by CEO Paul Tenney, Ematic provides an online platform that integrates into a business’ email service to grow their database, send targeted campaigns and increase on-site conversions with retargeted campaigns automatically.
Customers include some popular brands in beauty, eCommerce, fashion, hospitality, travel, and tech.
The company currently employs 80+ people across offices in San Francisco, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam and Bosnia.
