examityExamity, a Natick, MA-based proctoring and identity verification platform for online tests, secured a $21m in funding.

Backers included University Ventures and Inherent Group.

The company intends to use the funds to expand its online proctoring platform.

Founded in 2013 by Michael London, President and CEO, Examity provides a test integrity solution including live, recorded and automated solutions ensure integrity of online education and certification programs from higher education institutions and other organizations. Its proprietary keystroke identification technology, Examikey, provides an enhanced level of assurance for schools to determine the authenticity of test-takers.
Since its founding four years ago, the company has partnered with 150+ institutions including Texas A&M, the University of Wisconsin, and Yale University, and certification programs worldwide.
