Kaloom Closes US$10.7M Series A Equity Funding

Kaloom Inc., a Montreal, Canada-based networking solution for the data center, closed on a US$10.7m Series A equity funding.

The round was led by the Fonds de solidarité FTQ, with participation from Somel Investments, MBUZZ Investments, Griffin Fund II, and other current investors.

The company intends to use the funds to expand operations.

Led by Simon Williams, Co-Founder and CEO, Laurent Marchand, Co-Founder and CTO, Kaloom is building the Kaloom Flow Fabric, which will allow all virtual network functions (VNF) to run at scale utilizing commodity hardware, merchant silicon and existing data center architecture. The Kaloom Flow Fabric™ combines open networking and container based virtualization to provide a completely lossless environment to ensure consistent connectivity and high availability.

The company is currently growing the team both in Montréal and Silicon Valley.
