LoveTheWild Adds Leonardo Di Caprio as Investor to Close Series A Funding

-

lovethewildLoveTheWild, a Boulder, Colo.-based provider of farm-raised, freshly frozen seafood kits, and champions for sustainable aquaculture, added new investors to close the Series A funding round.

The amount of the deal was not disclosed.

Backers in the round included Aqua-Spark and Leonardo DiCaprio, who will also join the company’s advisory board.

As a socially-conscious brand led by Jacqueline Claudia, CEO and Co-Founder, and Christy Brouker, COO and co-founder, LoveTheWild provides gourmet, frozen seafood products which utilize traceable, farm-raised fish sourced from well-managed aquaculture facilities.
Its line of seafood kits contain freshly frozen pure fish fillets never thawed or re-frozen paired with sauces that complement each species’ unique taste, texture, and origin. The brand offers four artisanal varieties: newly launched Striped Bass with Roasted Pepper Almond Sauce, Barramundi with Mango Sriracha Chutney, Catfish with Cajun Creme, and Red Trout with Salsa Verde. The products are available in the frozen aisles of retailers across the country, including in Whole Foods Market, Wegmans, Sprouts, and Mom’s.
