Mub Cargo, a Braga, Portugal-based mobile app that connects people with shipping needs with drivers willing to transport those items, raised approx. €300k in funding.
BrainCapital made the investment.
The company intends to use the funds to expand operations across the country and internationally.
Led by CEO Carlos Palhares, MUB Cargo provides an the iOS and Android app that connects people who need to transport cargo in a fast way with transporters who picks up and deliver those cargoes. Users can submit a request for transport, stating information about the goods they want to carry, such as weight, dimensions and some images, and then indicating the addresses and dates of collection and delivery of the goods.
They will then receive price proposals from partner carriers and choose the right one. At the end of the process, users can also evaluate the overall experience.
Launched in November 2016, the platform currently makes over 300 carriers available.
