Nearpod, an Aventura, Florida-based provider of an interactive classroom platform to create, engage and assess, raised $21m in funding.
The round was led by Insight Venture Partners.
The company intends to use the funds to grow the team, develop new product features, create more interactive content and expand its portfolio of products.
Co-Founded in 2012 by Guido Kovalskys, Felipe Sommer and Emiliano Abramzon, Nearpod provides a classroom tool to create, engage and assess activities in a single solution via web and mobile apps.
The tool enables users to create interactive classes , upload a pdf or start a new presentation and add interactive features, download lessons from distinguished educators, share content and assessments in real time, include quizzes, polls, slideshows, videos and other activities in the lessons as well as observe classroom activity and control students’ devices.
