CollegeVine, a Cambridge, MA-based edtech startup, closed an additional $3.6m Series A funding.
The round – an extension of the $3.1m first tranche closed in Q4 2016 – was led by Morningside Technology Ventures, with participation from University Ventures and Silicon Valley Bank.
The company intends to use the funds to expand its digital infrastructure.
Founded by Zack Perkins, Johan Zhang, and Vinay Bhaskara, CollegeVine combines a digital platform with trained mentors to provide high schoolers with online guidance platform that provides mentorship, academic tutoring and college admissions guidance.
The company has a network of over 300 near-peer mentors.
