Cubigo Raises €4M in Funding

Cubigo, a Hasselt, Belgium-based personal platform to access a wide range of services dedicated to independent living, raised €4m in funding.

Backers included veteran entreprenuer and investor Urbain Vandeurzen and Transvision.

The company intends to use the funds for international expansion.

Founded in 2011 by Geert Houben and Dr. Peter Willems as a spin-off of the University of Hasselt, Cubigo provides an interactive online care platform which allows senior people to access to all kinds of products, services and applications to continue living independently at home for as long as possible. The platform enables users to make doctor’s appointments, set up video calls with family, read up on local news or events, track and share medical data, order meals, book home services providers, receive medication reminders, etc.

The company has 30 employees in its offices in Hasselt (Corda Campus), Netherlands (Venray) and the United States (San Francisco).
