DataWeave, a Seattle, WA-based SaaS competitive intelligence as a service platform for consumer brands and retailers, raised an undisclosed amount in Series-A funding.
The round was led by FreakOut Group from Japan, Herb Madan – a Silicon Valley-based venture capital investor, and a diverse group of institutional investors from the US, India and Singapore.
The company will use the funds to expand sales, marketing, and customer success initiatives, especially in North America, and scale data products.
Founded in 2012 by Karthik Bettadapura, CEO, DataWeave provides consumer brands and retailers with a SaaS based competitive intelligence platform that aggregates and analyzes millions of unstructured data points across multiple sources to better understand competition, monitor their brand, and optimize offerings for their customers.
The company currently serves global customers across North America, India, South-East Asia, and the Middle East.
