HealthEngine Raises AU$26.7M in Series C Funding

-

HealthEngine, a Perth, Australia-based online healthcare marketplace, raised AU$26.7m in Series C funding.

The round was led by Sequoia India with participation from Alium Capital, Go Capital, Carsales.com.au founder Greg Roebuck, and the founders of the Lux Group, one of Australia’s largest e-commerce companies.

The company will use the funds to expand into other markets and make acquisitions and to bolster its team of over 100 staff, who currently work from its Perth and satellite offices in Melbourne and Sydney.

Launched in 2006 by CEO and Medical Director Dr Marcus Tan, HealthEngine enables patients to connect online and make appointments directly with quality health practitioners in their area. The platform is accessed via website or smartphone app by over a million Australians every month resulting in millions of appointments a year with doctors, dentists, physios, and more.
