Onkos Surgical, Inc., a Pasipanny, NJ-based specialty medtech company focused on surgical oncology, closed a $17.6m Series B funding round.
The round was led by Canaan Partners with participation from existing investors 1315 Capital and 3D Systems. In conjunction with the investment, Stephen Bloch, General Partner at Canaan Partners, has joined the Onkos Surgical Board of Directors.
The company intends to use the funds to expand its sales, marketing, and R&D platforms.
Founded in 2015 by Patrick Treacy, CEO, Onkos Surgical is advancing surgical oncology implants and instruments.
The ELEOSTM Limb Salvage System is a modular system that is indicated for procedures where radical resection and replacement of the distal femur, proximal femur, proximal tibia or total femur is required. The company also develops personalized implant, instrument and anatomic model designs to aid surgeons when performing operative procedures and provides has a suite of biologic products with applications specific to musculoskeletal oncology.
