PharmEasy, a Mumbai, India-based app for ordering medicines and diagnostic tests, raised $17m in Series B funding.
The round was led by Bessemer Venture Partners with participation from Orios Venture Partners and Aarin Capital.
The company will use the funds to hire new people and expand the business.
Led by Dhaval Shah, PharmEasy provides an app for people to order medicines and diagnostics tests, arrange for monthly refills, set dosage reminders, etc. The medicines are delivered within 24 hours at no delivery cost while diagnostic tests bring a minimum 40% discount. The platform also features a medicine guide to know about the uses, side effects, cheaper substitutes, etc.
