Private equity firm The Riverside Company has sold a non-voting minority stake to Parkwood LLC.
Parkwood, a limited partner in multiple Riverside funds, will acquire just under 10% of the firm in primary capital.
The investment is being used to accelerate growth while an employee option plan has also been established to retain and reward employees.
Led by Co-CEOs Béla Szigethy and Stewart Kohl, The Riverside Company is a global private equity firm focused on making control and non-control investments in growing businesses valued at up to $400 million.
Since its founding in 1988, Riverside has invested in more than 460 transactions.
Its international portfolio includes more than 80 companies.
