Upskill (formerly APX Labs), a Herndon, VA-based provider of enterprise software for industrial augmented reality (AR) wearables, secured a Series B funding round of undisclosed amount.
Backers included Boeing and GE Ventures, New Enterprise Associates (NEA), SineWave Ventures and others.
The company intends to use the funds to expand its offerings, accelerate production and grow its engineering and customer solutions teams.
Led by Brian Ballard, co-founder and CEO, and Dr. Magid Abraham, Executive Chairman, Upskill provides the Skylight industrial augmented reality (AR) application platform for enterprise wearables. Used by GE, Boeing, Rio Tinto, DHL, Merck, and Shell, the company’s industrial application platform, Skylight, enhances the capabilities of hands-on workers to improve business operations from the factory to the warehouse to the jobsite by connecting them to the information they need to do their jobs.
