Catalia Health, a San Francisco, CA-based patient care management company, closed its seed extension round of $2.5m.
This extension, which bolsters the original $1.25m seed round, was led by Khosla Ventures with participation from NewGen Capital, Macnica Ventures, Q Venture Partners Limited, InnoLinks Ventures, Abstract by Flight.VC, DeNA and Lucky Capital.
The company intends to use the funds to build and deploy its care management system for its first three disease states.
Led by Dr. Cory Kidd, CEO and founder, Catalia Health provides a patient engagement platform and Mabu, an AI-enabled personalized healthcare social robot, which enable healthcare providers and pharmaceutical companies to support patients living with chronic illness. The company’s care management programs are tailored to increase medication adherence, improve symptom management and reduce the likelihood that a patient is readmitted to the hospital after being discharged.
