Paragon One, a NYC-based online career coaching service and mentor marketplace, raised $1.9m in seed funding.
Backers included Y Combinator, Foundation Capital, Learn Capital, University Ventures, Li Yuan Ventures, Altair Ventures, Jimmy Lai, and Jeff Xiong.
The company intends to use the funds for product development.
Co-founded by Byron Hsu and Matt Wilkerson, Paragon One is an online college career marketplace that matches college students with professionals who guide them into the right career and prepare for interviews. Students take an online assessment and are then delivered recommended advisors from any career path.
The company took part in Y Combinator’s last batch.
