Swiftly, a San Francisco, CA-based big data platform for public transit and mobility services, raised $2.5m in funding.

The round was led by Via ID (Mobivia) with participation from RATP Dev, Ford Smart Mobility, Samsung NEXT, 1776 Ventures, Wind Capital, Zipdragon Ventures, 2L Investments, Millennium Strategic Group, Gary Swart, and others.

The company intends to use the funds for international expansion.

Led by Jonathan Simkin, Co-Founder and CEO, Swiftly provides enterprise data analytics and real-time passenger information software for cities and transit agencies to improve transit system performance, service reliability, and real-time passenger information.
The company’s data-driven solutions have been deployed in large metro areas such as Chicago and Boston, as well as scores of small- to mid-size cities.
