Arcadia Power, a Washington, D.C.–based nationwide clean energy platform, closed a $6m Series A funding.
The round was led by Energy Impact Partners (EIP), with participation from BoxGroup and Wonder Ventures.
The company intends to use the funds to increase utility partnerships, expand its community solar projects, and roll out new product offerings.
Founded in 2014 by Kiran Bhatraju, CEO, Arcadia Power provides a platform that connects homeowners and renters to clean energy programs and savings opportunities via an extensive utility billing and data API.
It enables customers to sign-up, pay their utility bills, and benefit a 50% wind-powered clean energy at no additional cost (or 100% wind energy for a small fee) through green e-certified renewable energy certificates.
The company, a B-Corp, has 25,000+ customers across all 50 states.
