Automat, a Montreal, Canada-based AI-driven conversational marketing platform, raised USD$8.3m in Series A funding.
The round was round led by the You & Mr Jones with participation from new investors Comcast Ventures and Omidyar Technology Ventures along with existing investors Relay Ventures, Real Ventures, and USAA.
The company, which has raised USD$11m in total funding to date, intends to use the capital to expand its engineering, research, and product teams to accelerate the development of additional features to increase its business development, sales, and marketing efforts.
Led by Andy Mauro, CEO, Automat provides a conversational marketing platform that uses AI to enables marketers to have personalized one-on-one conversations with their customers, fans, and followers, learn about them, and build ongoing bi-directional relationships.
