CirrusMD Closes $7M Series A Funding

CirrusMD, a Denver, CO-based text-first telemedicine platform for large health systems and insurers, closed a $7m Series A financing.

The round was led by Colorado Impact Fund, with participation from Bootstrap Incubation, Three Leaf Ventures, Rockies Venture Fund, Service Provider Capital, Sand Hill Angels, and New York Angels.

The company will use the funds to expand sales and marketing, increase investment in customer support, and continue innovation of its platform and data analytics.

Co-founded in 2012 by Dr. Blake McKinney and Andrew Altorfer, CEO, CirrusMD develops virtual care solutions for value-based healthcare organizations.
Its technology allows patients to access medical care with local physicians through text and video chat. The company currently provides telemedicine services to over one million covered patients by working with large health systems, integrated delivery networks, and health plans.
