Mindstrong Health, a Palo Alto, California-based diagnosis startup, raised $14m in funding.
The round was led by Foresite Capital and ARCH Venture Partners with participation from Optum Ventures, Berggruen Holdings and the One Mind Brain Health Impact Fund.
The company intends to use the funds to build its technology and clinical operations team to support large-scale research and development.
Established in 2014 by Dr. Paul Dagum, CEO, and Dr. Tom Insel, President, Mindstrong Health provides a platform that delivers real-time, continuous digital biomarkers of mood and cognition, including measures of processing speed, attention, memory and executive function. The company’s patented science and technology developed by Dr. Dagum is based on four years of extensive clinical studies applying machine intelligence to human-computer interactions patterns.
