Wavecell, a Singapore-based cloud communications platform, secured USD$8.15m in Series B funding.
The round was led by Qualgro and MDI Ventures, with participation from previous investors Wavemaker Partners and other new investors.
The company intends to use the funds to develop its product and technology and accelerate its go-to-market strategy in Asia Pacific for both messaging and live-video solutions.
Founded in 2010 by Olivier Gerhardt, CEO, Wavecell is a CPaaS (Communication Platform as a Service) company that empowers enterprises and application developers to communicate efficiently and enhance customer experience via its messaging and live-video interaction solutions, which can be integrated to existing website, applications and services.
