6 River Systems Raises $15M in Funding

-

6 River Systems, Inc., a Boston, MA-based collaborative robotics fulfillment solution provider, raised $15m in funding.

Backers included Norwest Venture Partners and Eclipse Ventures. In conjunction with the funding, Matthew Howard, a managing partner at Norwest, has joined 6 River Systems’ board of directors alongside Greg Reichow, a partner at Eclipse and formerly VP of Operations at Tesla Motors.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate the delivery of Chuck, its Robotic Collaborative Fulfillment System (CFS) and mobile robot.

Founded by Jerome Dubois, Rylan Hamilton, and Christopher Cacioppo, 6 River Systems provides Chuck, which uses a proprietary mobile robot and cloud-based enterprise software to improve warehouse staff productivity and simplify training. The systems are live at third party logistics provider and retailer warehouses in North America supporting direct to consumer, retail store replenishment, and service parts fulfillment operations.
