Poq, a London, UK-based app commerce company, secured £3.5m in its latest funding round.
The round, which brings total amount raised by Poq so far to £7m, was led by Beringea with participation from Meyer Bergman and Barclays.
The company intends to use the funds to expand its customer base among large and international retailers, and to extend its service so that in-house developers will be able to customize their apps themselves.
Led by Oyvind Henriksen, CEO and co-founder, Poq provides a Software-as-a-Service platform (SaaS) for iOS and Android that enables retailers to build shopping apps for their customers. The company’s service operates on its own platform, ensuring that apps are refreshed in real-time with the latest updates. Retailers using it can access in-app data that provides insights into their customers’ shopping habits, giving them a deeper understanding of how customers use their service.
The company has gained traction with large retailers such as House of Fraser, Missguided, Holland & Barrett, and Made.com.
