Privitar Raises $16M in Series A Funding

Privitar, a London, UK-based privacy engineering software company, raised $16m in Series A funding.

The round was led by Partech Ventures with participation from CME Ventures and Salesforce Ventures and existing investors IQ Capital, 24Haymarket and Illuminate Financial.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate the delivery of its product roadmap and core IP, and expand to the United States and other key geographies.

Founded in 2014 and led by Jason du Preez, CEO, Privitar is a privacy engineering software company, that enables organizations across several industry verticals including financial services, telecommunications, pharmaceutical and government to use, share and derive insight from data for advanced analytics and machine learning, to enable collaboration with third parties, and to safely accelerate the adoption of cloud computing.
The company is delivering data privacy and anonymization software to a global client-base across Europe, North America and Asia.
