Worthy, a Boca Raton, Fla.-based digital investment app, closed a seed financing round.
The amount of the deal and the backers were not disclosed.
The company intends to use the funds to roll-out the Worthy mobile app, to expand its user base as well as to broaden the array of investment product options it offers retail investors.
Led by Sally Outlaw, CEO, Worthy is a digital investing and savings solution for consumers to manage a diversified portfolio that includes investment products that were previously only available to wealthy investors. It provides the ability to spend their way to retirement by investing retail round-ups into high-yielding fixed interest bonds, the proceeds of which fund growing businesses.
