CornerJob, a Barcelona, Spain-based digital recruitment platform, raised $3m in funding.
Innogest, an Italian venture capital firm, made this latest investment, which follows a $19m funding announced in May 2017 and takes total investment in the business to over $57m. Innogest joined a team of international investors including Mediaset Italia, Groupe TF1, RTL, Northzone, Randstad Innovation Fund, e.ventures, Samaipata Ventures, Caixa Capital Risc, Sabadell Venture Capital, Mediaset España, 5M Ventures, Media Digital Ventures, Augesco Ventures and TV Azteca.
The company intends to use the funds to expand its leadership position in digital recruitment in all the countries where it operates (Italy, France, Spain and Mexico).
Launched in October 2015 David Rodriguez (CEO), Miguel Vicente, Gerard Olivé and Mauro Maltagliati (country manager for Italy), CornerJob is a mobile recruitment platform for skilled jobs in Italy, France, Spain and Mexico. The company, which has 5 office in Barcelona, Paris, Milan, Madrid and Mexico City, has reached 8 million downloads of the app and over 200,000 companies using the platform to publish their job ads.
Companies that have used CornerJob to recruit employees cover a wide range of industries: from HoReCa and tourism to retail, construction to public sector, SMEs to blue chip companies. Among the companies that have used the platform are Adecco, Eataly, Geox, Amnesty International, Generali, Manpower, Leroy Merlin, Tommy Hilfiger, DHL, Novotel, Best Western, McDonald’s, Burger King, AT&T and Victoria’s Secret to name a few.
