iUNU, Seattle, WA—based an industrial computer vision company, raised $6m in funding.
Backers included 2nd Avenue Partners, Initialized Capital, Fuel Capital, Liquid 2 Ventures, and others.
Founded in 2013, iUNU provides a computer vision-based, industrial manufacturing process and inventory management platform for the commercial greenhouse market. Following three years of development and testing in large scale commercial operations, the company’s LUNA combines computer vision and machine learning technologies to continuously build detailed models of individual plants, unique among millions, throughout the day. Using high resolution and 3D imagery, as well as real-time bioinformatics, the solution monitors the changes in health of individual plants, giving growers the knowledge they need for proactive management.
The company, which also has offices in San Francisco and San Diego, intends to use the funds to continue to expand operations.
