Backers included Accel Partners, Exfinity Ventures and Partech Ventures.
The company intends to use the funds to expedite product development efforts.

The company’s products enable virtualized applications running under VMware environments to run faster and cost effectively by eliminating storage bottlenecks and gaining control of data across the private and public cloud.
PrimaryIO also has offices in Pune, India.
