Sleeperbot Raises Approx. $2M in Seed Funding

Sleeperbot, a Redwood City, CA-based platform for fans to connect and speak about sport subjects, raised approx. $2M in seed funding.

Backers included Birchmere VC and Expa.

The company is using the funds to expand the team to continue to build and enrich its product.

Led by Nan Wang, Weixi Yen, Ken Wang, Henry Leung and Nate Black, Sleeperbot provides a desktop, iOS, and Android platform that allows real and fantasy sports fans to connect and speak about different subjects. Discussions take place in channels which are either created by the company or by users.
The company has recently announced the launch of season-long fantasy football leagues in order to let people communicate with friends while playing fantasy football no longer needing to turn to email, text messages, or Facebook groups to chat.

Angels and advisors in Sleeperbot also include founders and executives from Discord, Google, NerdWallet, Namely, etc.
